돔페리뇽 마시며... 월가, 스페이스X 상장 호화파티

항공우주 기업 ‘스페이스X’의 상장 당일 미국 뉴욕에서 연이어 초호화 파티가 열리며 월가가 축제 분위기에 휩싸였다.

블룸버그, 월스트리트저널(WSJ) 등 외신은 스페이스X의 상장이 마무리된 12일(현지 시각) 맨해튼에서는 상장 공동 주관사였던 JP모건이 직접 축하 행사를 열었다. 파티는 JP모건 본사 57층에서 열렸는데 ‘미래는 모두의 것’ ‘스타십’ ‘팰컨9’이라는 이름의 칵테일과 스페이스X·JP모건의 로고를 새긴 토마호크 스테이크 ‘카버리 카운트다운’이 제공됐다. ‘문 파이’ ‘우주 아이스크림’ ‘구름 솜사탕’ 등 디저트도 나왔다고 한다.

JP모건은 사옥 외벽 디지털 사이니지를 활용해 스페이스X 로켓이 솟아오르는 모습의 영상을 내보내기도 했다. 이번 축하 파티는 제이미 다이먼 JP모건 최고경영자가 일론 머스크 스페이스X CEO에게 직접 제안해 열렸다.

대표 주관사인 골드만 삭스도 앞서 상장 공모가가 결정된 지난 11일 밤 축하 행사를 열었고 상장 당일에는 방문 고객들에게 소행성 모양의 마카롱을 제공했다.
